Curfew and Some of the Reasons Your Key Card Expired Early

If they short you on your key card, and you come back after 10pm, and your key card doesn’t work, guess what? That’s right! You will be unable to go into your room until they open the next morning.

They have a phone outside of the office for when no one is in the office, so if you need help, you can call the clerk who is “helping another guest,” or, if the office is closed. I’ve come back many times when there is a sign saying something like, “I am out of the office helping another guest. If you need immediate assistance, use the phone outside of the office.” Sometimes the sign says,“Back in 30 minutes.” Back in 30 minutes FROM WHEN? They don’t tell you that part for some reason.

That phone has not worked most of the time I’ve been here. And even though I’ve discussed this on another post on this site, I’ll tell you again: If you are in your room and you need assistance, you are to press “0” on the landline. When they don’t feel like hearing from you, like most of the time, the phone in your room will not work. See the post, “Banging on the Ceiling Above,” and it has nothing to do with any kind of spirituality. It is, just like the title implies.

It’s hard to understand why your key card won’t work. They told me it was because it touched my keys in my pocket. So I started putting one in my wallet. Guess what? The keys are telekinetic. When one touches your keys, even the one in your wallet stops working. LOL. Yeah right.

• Because it touched your keys.
• Because they can’t program it for more than 10 days.
• Because the computer programs it, based on your stay.
• Because it only stops working if it touches an Apple device

Miracles (Don’t) Never Cease

Every time the key card works, I feel a wave of relief. I have been trained that it will not work, it has happened SO MANY TIMES. And because of, and of course thanks to unwritten laws, it often happens when your hands are full or if it’s raining and USUALLY happens when the sign in the office says, “Back in 30 minutes,” (they need to replace that sign it’s getting worn out) and of course again, as stated before, no indication of when that 30 minutes began and also of course, as you might’ve found out already, the phone outside of the office to call them when they are not in, has not worked in years.
