No Concern and Sloppy, The Defaults

Well now there is Manager6-W. He seemed to not know about me.
But then, another water-pouring incident. I didn’t even write about the last one yetLINK. When water started dripping from the hole in the bathroom ceiling that has been there for months after the last really big water-pouring incident, I called the office and talked to Manager6-W. I told him it’s the third time this has happened to me. He said he would check the room above me. And then…
that was last I heard from him. Once again, I was left to fend for myself. Days later I asked him why didn’t he come to view the puddle and bucket, and he said, “Because the guest in the room above you wouldn’t let me come in to see where the water originated and told me that there was no leak.”
Is that a viable answer?
Again, no concern over anything me, except to keep up the harassments, invasions of privacy, and breaches of contracts. These people’s only interest in me is to continue what they started at the start of eight years. Amazing.
I asked him to show me how water was poured into my room again, and then that was the end of that.
This guy is pretty much no different than all the other unaffected managers. Simply amazing! Just. So. Amazing.
I told him about the absence of housekeeping that has lasted eight years. He took pics of some of the crud. Pics are here, in the Bath Gallery of Crud.
Surprise!
Then the most surprising thing happened- on the first Thursday after that, the room was cleaned. Then…
No Surprise!
He said he’d have it cleaned every week. I said “I don’t need special treatment if the rule is every other week.” We agreed my room would be cleaned every other week. Then the most not surprising thing happened- he let me believe that housekeeping would take place, and then did the same thing as all the other managers- held it back. Two weeks in a row.
After a couple of weeks I asked again, third time was the charm. I asked him even again, the day before, then it actually happened. But it was just another sloppy job, the default.
Employees here have no pride in their work. And it’s been true about everyone I’ve encountered. How can this be? For eight years? Is this normal? If anyone did have pride in their work, they masterfully never showed it. MaintenanceMan2 told me specifically, “I take pride in my work, not like the ladies here,” then left pieces and specks of the soggy bottom of the cabinet all over the kitchen floor for me to clean up after replacing the dripping drain pipe! (I had told him that housekeeping was terrible.) He did something good hereLINK, and I never saw him again.
Manager6-W held back housekeeping after I told him, “In eight years, this room has had housekeeping MAYBE 20 times, if I give the housekeepers the benefit of doubt.” I doubt it was 20 times, but I needed a starting point, and I didn’t want to be totally inaccurate and accuse them of “never” cleaning. I figured 20 would be close enough.
