No “working” Toilet for You!

MaintenanceMan3 really knows his stuff. Not really. No really. Proof at the bottom of this page.

Let me tell ya how he started-

I’ve talked about the toilet at least once before- here. But guess what? It never got fixed. In March, I asked ‘they,’ the front desk, to fix the toilet. It has trouble flushing one half a sheet of toilet paper. In the past, MaintenanceMan1, First Thing, told me that the sound of water leaking is how it’s supposed to work. Obviously, he, and they, treat me as if I’m brain dead. Telling me something works when it so obviously does not. And of course, “it” doesn’t cover just this one thing- it covers practically every thing. Big and little.

So I have gone years without a properly working toilet. I said, before, “I’m patient.” I am patient and an excellent tenant to the extreme. They should be glad to have me. And how am I rewarded? A lot of it is on this website now, at the beginning of year seven which started in July 2024. That’s how much they care about their work and their jobs, and someone they think is mentally ill, but I digress. Sorry, I do that a lot, but that is the nature of what happens to you when a group does well over 70 different harassments on you. And sometimes you say things that you wouldn’t normally say…

And they have been trying my patience, by acting ridiculous and not showing up and not fixing and generally keeping it up all the time. It starts to make YOU (meaning me)  sound ridiculous with so many intricate connections. If I find that everything they’ve done to me is legal, I will give up, but as it is now, I have to stay until after they treat me right. And other things are met. They have increased my resolve, and all they had to do, was treat me right in the beginning. Now I have a dozen reasons not to leave. This is a war on a consumer and I am IN THE RIGHT.

To continue what I meant to talk about, I told MaintenanceMan3 that the water is so low, before I use it, I have to flush it to get water into the bowl, which slowly drains out after each flush. The plunger I had to buy is the second one that is wearing out. During the first couple years is when the toilet started to stop up.

First Time

He said he fixed it. He said that the sprayer was facing the wrong the way and he turned it around so it would now work properly.

It would’ve confirmed that MaintenanceMan1 sabotaged the toilet if 3 was truthful.

About three months later I asked again…

Second Time

He said he fixed it. He said that the sprayer was facing the wrong the way and he turned it around so it would now work properly.

WHAT!?!

And as a bonus, since I wasn’t watching his every move, I went into the bathroom a little later and stepped in water. Surprise!

Not only did he not fix the toilet, he purposely left me a present to step in and use my towels to clean it up.

Why didn’t you ask housekeeping to clean it up?

Well, I called the office and told Clerk2-T what happened- that the toilet is not fixed and there is toilet water on the floor. Could you get him up here to fix it? And that was the end of that. Sound familiar?

Would you expect anything different? If the answer is “yes,” you have not read much on this site. Or maybe you work for Extended Stay America aka ESA and you are that type of employee.

And that’s the way it is, at Extended Stay America aka ESA, on this day, and all days for over seven years. Mostly!
