Pronounced Door Slamming

Say it Again, and Again, and Etc.

It’s not just doors. It’s also cabinets, which in my case, comes from the room on the other side of my kitchen. Door slamming comes from directly below, and door slamming comes from the “sister” room to my room- the closest door which is only a foot or two from my door. All the rooms are in twos, meaning all the rooms have very close sister rooms, and a greater distance between other groups of sisters. From below, previous crews used that door often- throughout the day and throughout the night. Slamming, slamming and more slamming. If anyone says, “You can’t get good slamming these days,” tell them I have quite an argument to prove them wrong.

There are other doors that slam too, but I can’t tell where it’s coming from, except, sans “accidents,” it’s most likely a member of “they.”

Umm, and Again

The way pronounced door slamming is done, is to slam the door shut from however far it was opened so that a body can pass through. Then open it just a little, and slam it shut again. They often do it several times, even up to four times, which I guess gives them the feeling that it is not just slammed, but slammed good and plentifully. And it helps them feel good and safe and secure in knowing that there is no way I could’ve missed those slams. In reality it’s true, I do not miss them, I hear and feel them all; it makes me jump, and, as many of the acts they perform, inspires me to write more.

Be Sure to be Heard

For the record, there is no way I could miss any slams of that door. Making it worse, is that the door doesn’t seem to fit the doorway without a little additional noise. When I asked MaintenanceMan-1 if he could fix it, he said “it can’t be fixed.” He was able to fix the door in the office though. What actually became of that is more slamming. They widened up the hours of slamming and started doing it all night, even at four in the morning. See the article called, “Bags.” You’ll find on this site that if you complain to Extended Stay America management, either at the hotel level or the corporate level, concerning the acts you complain about, the amplification and the number of times it occurs, becomes pronouncedly increased.

And that, as well as almost everything I talk about, is how they handle complaints at Extended Stay America Hotels. Here’s what happened after four complaints– to summarize, pretty much nothing, except, and you probably know by now, the things I complained about got worse. And worse. They put on a pretty good show though.
