Some Examples of Some Housekeeping Incidents

This particular story pertains to AsstManager2-B.

How many faces can one person have?

She had me fooled better than anyone. I actually thought she could be trusted. And I did trust her. Until that last time she snatched the football away.

Housekeeping would occasionally come by and ask, “Do you need anything?“ The main problem with that is they come to you, out of the blue, and interrupt you without warning. Like, am I supposed to be ready to move at a moment’s notice? How do other people handle that? I could ask others, but Manager1-T‘s rule book said guests are not allowed to talk to one another. It also said that “you have to leave” when housekeeping comes.

A conversation with Manager3-M and AsstManager2-B ended with a decision that I would contact -remember, calls are screened; if you want to talk to someone in particular, you have to find them on the property- AsstManager2-B and let her know when I’d be gone so that housekeeping wouldn’t have a problem. I would move my pillow and other things from the bed and generally pickup things on the floor that were stored there. I actually did that for years, every week, and I’d get back late in the day or early in the evening and the room was exactly the same as when I left. There were a few times there were changes, like finding a dirty rag on the chair. And another time a housekeeper accidentally left her TV remote control on the desk. And after I started this blog, on another “housekeeping” day, the only thing that was different when I got back was that one of the roach traps was in a different position.

To continue… so I went to the office and spoke again to AsstManager2-B and set up housekeeping for a different day when I knew I wouldn’t be there. She agreed, and of course…

Nothing!

I waited a few weeks, and we did it again, and of course…

Nothing!

I waited a year. A YEAR! Many employees had come and gone as did approximately 365 sunsets and sunrises. AsstManager2-B was THE ONLY employee who was the same.

And I asked her again- set up a new day.

Of course- nothing!

So I went to her and asked her what happened. She got a concerned look on her face and picked up a clipboard and made a face. I told her, “It’s been a year!” So we did it again- setup housekeeping for another day, and…

Of course- nothing!

On the day of the forth try, I called her and my call was screened, so I asked the phone clerk if housekeeping had gotten to my room. She said, “They’re about to do that now.” Finally, I didn’t have to worry if they were going to do it or not.

And of course- nothing!

Again nothing! And again and again and again! Nothing!

It took even longer before I realized the source of the problem. That’s how trusting I am in most situations, but, that won’t happen again. Not here.

Note: She’s the one who was so concerned with me, a few weeks later, this took place- The Fire Alarm Incident.

So many stories to tell. Here’s another short one:

They again sent an old lady to clean the room. I was about to leave, and she pulled out a broom and started sweeping the carpet. I was concerned, and asked, “Don’t you have a vacuum cleaner?” She said, “This is all we have for now.” (She might have said that one was broken; don’t remember exactly, or that they were in use by others.)

Question- Why would she do the “sweeping” first? Before I left the room? Wouldn’t sweeping instead of vacuuming happen LAST?!!

Like I say: Everything is either a manipulation or a trick!

EVERYTHING!

Almost seven years of the exact same

INSANITY!

I don’t know what they were trying to accomplish with that. Maybe they wanted to see if I would offer to do it for her, so they could judge me on that too. I still have not come to a conclusion on that one.

Petty, Petty and More

A practice during the first few years was to push the housekeeping harder and faster when in front of my room. It took a number of minds to come up with that one!

Dozens and dozens of “employees” have come to my door. Dozens and dozens and more know about what is going on here. Not a single one has ever offered the truth.

And what did they get out of it?

Why the satisfaction of knowing they are a part of group of people causing harm to me.
