The Old “Computer Problems” Trick

During the first few years at the hotel, a friend who owed me money would sometimes pay my bill on my behalf. After a few times, he asked me, “What is going on in the office? Every time I pay your rent, they have “computer problems.” I laughed and said, “It happens every time I go too.”

We determined that everyone who worked in the office was either incompetent, or the company has a really bad IT department.
