Four GALLONS AN HOUR for close to or longer than SEVEN YEARS. Non-stop. Why?
The answer could only be that it was part of many harassments used for… none other than me, to help make me uncomfortable, because they believed the dripping annoyed me. At first, before I got here, it was probably just a fact that some people don’t clean their own spaces. But after I moved in, it became like the TV and the door and the disrespect given whenever they call to do housekeeping, and then don’t do what they say they do. I do wonder though, if they had to pay for it themselves, would they have done something about it.
I don’t think so! Maybe they would’ve put a stop to it at a certain point, but I’m sure that they not only spend Extended Stay America’s money on their antics, but their own as well. But I’m only guessing. They send you powerful messages making it easy to believe things you might not have believed before.
For almost seven years or more the shower dripped. There’s no telling how long it dripped before I got here, since it was obvious that the room the put me in was not ready to be rented by paying guests. When I finally figured out why this place has always been such a pig sty, is because they would not do any maintenance in the rooms they used for themselves, which included the room I’m in and the one next to it- the TV/Slam room- where so many clown shows have taken place. When they put me in this room, they were sure that because it was so disgusting, I wouldn’t last very long. But they have tried and tried going on seven years, and like on the home page, they are the ones who are crazy- insane!
Okay, I’m probably a little crazy. But I just want these people to actually do what they are supposed to do. I have yet to get satisfaction from Extended Stay America. They wrote the contract, but they won’t do their part considering this place is used as a backstabbing kind of a playground for they.
The Shower Faucet
I told Maintenance on THE VERY FIRST DAY!
I actually saw him again later, and asked about it.
He said, “It’s the shower faucet.” Heck, that’s what I TOLD HIM! I have no experience in plumbing, but you don’t have to know much to diagnose this one.
Throughout the six years, some of the managers told me, “We have to get that fixed.”
When it Got Fixed
I was here. Extended Stay America used subcontractors. They often have different subcontractors working on things.
The ones that fixed the dripping shower faucet had to cut a hole in the wall in order to replace the shower valve.
After it was all fixed, the subcontractors used their tools to make the wall texture the same as the rest of the walls. The funny thing is, they painted over all the food that was stuck to the wall by the sink. I had cleaned it a few years ago when it was like an eighth of an inch thick. After I cleaned it, I asked myself, “Why are you doing the work of “they?” I barely get credit for rent payments. I don’t want the do-nothing housekeepers to get credit for my work, so I only clean what is absolutely necessary. I often clean the kitchen counter, stove and toilet. I keep the shower stall clean when I use it. I also sweep the carpet, since Manager5-J was thoughtful enough to leave a broom in my room.
Extra Space
You can see in the gallery, that some of the pics show the space between the bottom of the door, and the floor. Also along the side of the door. The door is much too small. But locally-they don’t care. If they do care, they won’t show it or do anything about it. I wonder the same thing that if they had to pay for it out of their own money, would it be fixed? Cuz I don’t see how letting out the heat and AC year round does much to harass me. It’s more like they are harassing the main office- saying, “We can cheat our customers, and you as well.”
